As part of the International Finance Society’s mission, we are running an FX Lecture Series delivered by Prof. Nick Roussanov, from 15 to 17 June 2026. The series will be held at the University of Basel and is sponsored by the Swiss Finance Institute (SFI). While the program is designed for PhD students, all interested participants are welcome. Due to limited capacity, participation will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Participants are responsible for arranging their own travel from Gerzensee to Basel, as well as accommodation in Basel. To join, please register by completing the Google form linked here: Registration Form
The International Finance Society invites submissions for its 2026 annual meeting at the Study Center Gerzensee (Foundation of the Swiss National Bank).
The conference brings together researchers working on all areas of international finance and aims to foster high-quality discussion in an intimate setting. We particularly welcome early-stage or new research that has not yet been widely presented.
Submissions from junior scholars are strongly encouraged. The format supports in-depth feedback, open discussion, and meaningful interaction among participants.
We invite papers in all areas of international finance. Submissions should be in PDF format and sent by email.
Submission Deadline: March 1, 2026
Submission by email: submit@internationalfinancesociety.com
Notification of Acceptance: End of March 2026
Submission Fee: Free
Eligibility: One submission per presenting author (co-authorship on other submissions is allowed)
A dedicated poster session is available for early-career researchers, including PhD students at all stages and recent graduates. Submissions may include draft papers or proposals with preliminary results. The same submission guidelines as above apply, except that submissions should be sent to submitphd@internationalfinancesociety.com
The academic program runs from Wednesday morning (June 10) to Thursday afternoon (June 11). Participants are expected to arrive Tuesday, June 9, and depart Friday, June 12. The Study Center Gerzensee will cover accommodation and meals for participants. The conference is supported by the Swiss Finance Institute (SFI).
